        it began here      with this email ---------->

Twenty-three months ago, she was killed, and I still get emails about my niece Danae from people I don't know.  From all over the country, even other parts of the world.  But this one ... I don't know, it was different.  I always respond to the emails I get.  And I responded to Candace too.  I thanked her for writing me and told her how mature she seemed.  I also said, "My first thought was that somehow your sweet son, in his innocence, must have been able to sense Danae's presence in heaven ... does that make sense?"   I knew that would sound weird to a lot of people, but somehow, I thought she might understand what I meant.

I was right.  Candace wrote back, "I definitely felt that Christopher was able to sense her presence, but I just didn't want to come out and say it because I wasn't sure how you would react ..."  Cool?!?  Yeah, I think so!

Candace and I emailed several more times and are now friends on Facebook, where I got to see pictures of her and her son Christopher.  Aren't they sweet?!

I can't even describe the how it feels to watch this baby, who I've never met, react as he watches the video, which I myself made, of my niece Danae.  It makes me sad but so so happy at the same time.  There is surely a God-blessed connection between Christopher and Danae.  Danae ,,, who always had a baby in her lap.
